We're seeking a Director of Procurement and Supply Chain who's ready to be part of a company committed to formulating everyday success for every customer through innovative, reliable products used to adhere, seal, and protect at every level of the building envelope.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Director of Procurement - Building Envelope is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support business growth, operational excellence, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity across the Building Envelope division. This role leads strategic sourcing initiatives for both direct and indirect spend categories, including raw materials, packaging, logistics, manufacturing inputs, MRO, capital projects, and operational services.

The Director partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Commercial leadership to optimize total cost of ownership, strengthen supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, and support business objectives. This leader drives procurement excellence through category management, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, analytics, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promote a culture of safety, ethical sourcing, compliance, and operational discipline throughout procurement activities.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and ethical standards.

Procurement Strategy & Category Leadership

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct and indirect spend categories that align with Building Envelope business objectives, operational requirements, and financial targets.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to improve cost competitiveness, supplier performance, working capital, and supply reliability while minimizing risk.
  • Establish and execute category management strategies for key materials, services, logistics, and capital expenditures to support manufacturing and business priorities.
  • Identify and drive cost-reduction opportunities through supplier negotiations, value engineering, process improvements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Leverage market intelligence, industry trends, and spend analytics to support sourcing decisions and long-term procurement planning.

Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing

  • Lead supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and relationship management activities to secure best value, quality, innovation, and service performance.
  • Develop strategic supplier partnerships and implement supplier performance management programs, including scorecards, KPIs, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead contract negotiations and management activities, including pricing agreements, service-level expectations, risk mitigation provisions, and commercial terms.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability improvements, product enhancements, and supply chain optimization.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Operational Support

  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial teams to align procurement priorities with business strategy, production requirements, capital projects, and growth initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing facilities by ensuring continuity of supply, resolving supplier performance issues, and proactively managing supply chain risks.
  • Participate in new product development, product reformulation, and capital investment projects to ensure procurement alignment and supplier readiness.
  • Provide procurement leadership for business continuity planning, risk management, and supplier diversification strategies.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members while fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and results-oriented culture.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting processes to monitor procurement effectiveness, savings achievement, supplier performance, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement processes, systems, governance, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of procurement technologies, analytics tools, and best practices to strengthen organizational capabilities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent are strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience, including leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading both direct and indirect procurement categories, including raw materials, logistics, MRO, capital expenditures, and operational services.
  • Proven success developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and building strategic supplier partnerships that drive business value.
  • Experience within the building materials, construction products, industrial manufacturing, or multi-site manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

  • Expertise in procurement strategy, category management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience in cost modeling, budgeting, capital planning, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment across operations, finance, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data, market intelligence, and performance metrics to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust, credibility, and effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement technologies, supplier management tools, and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
