Terms: Full-Time, On-Site

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Evolve TCG is the new trading card game (“TCG”) division of Evolve Scholastic Inc., a manufacturer-direct company specializing in graduation products, apparel, and championship rings. Our team is developing an original trading card game built around the sport and culture of All Star Cheer. We are seeking highly skilled artists and game-industry talent to join us and help create a distinctive, enduring TCG brand.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is for an artist who wants to help bring the visual identity of the project to life through original, production-quality artwork from the ground up. You will work under the direction of Creative leadership and closely with Design leadership to translate creative briefs into art that meets the established visual style, card composition requirements, production schedule, and print specifications. The ideal candidate brings a strong point of view and a desire to create work that endures.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Produce high-quality finished artwork for full-body athlete characters, skill scenes, gear, environments, and related card elements.
  • Translate project briefs and art direction into sketches and visual concepts.
  • Create art that is inspiring and collectible in its own right.
  • Maintain the established art style and quality standards across all assigned work.
  • Refine artwork based on feedback and prepare files for final production.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the art team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong portfolio with examples of character illustrations.
  • Exceptional command of anatomy, gesture, perspective, composition, color, lighting, and digital rendering.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others on a team.
  • Willingness to accept and apply constructive feedback.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BFA/BA in Illustration or a related creative field.
  • Background in games, publishing, or other visual storytelling mediums.
  • Familiarity with how concept art translates into final production pipelines.
  • Knowledge of file requirements for print and digital media.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft 365 applications.

Salary: Starting at $62,000.00
