Job description

Technology Support Specialist
Help our people do their best work.
At Kayser Automotive Group, we believe technology should make work easier-not more frustrating.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and making someone's day just a little bit better. Whether it's getting a new employee set up on their first day, helping someone regain access to an account, or troubleshooting a stubborn phone or computer, you'll be the first person our team turns to when they need help.
You don't need to be a network engineer or cybersecurity expert. We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, communicates well, and takes pride in providing exceptional service to coworkers.
If you've ever been the person friends and family call when technology isn't cooperating, we'd love to talk with you.
What You'll Do
As our Technology Support Specialist, you'll be the primary day-to-day IT resource supporting employees across our dealerships and corporate offices.
Responsibilities include:
End User Support
* Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology questions and support requests.
* Troubleshoot Windows PCs, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and common software issues.
* Assist employees with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
* Resolve issues in person, over the phone, and through remote support.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
* Prepare computers and equipment for new employees.
* Create and configure user accounts and email access.
* Set up phones, printers, and required applications.
* Disable accounts and recover equipment for departing employees.
* Ensure onboarding and offboarding checklists are completed accurately.
Account Administration
* Password resets
* Microsoft 365 account management
* Multi-factor authentication assistance
* User permissions and group memberships
* Basic Active Directory/Azure AD administration (if applicable)
Hardware & Device Management
* Deploy and image new computers.
* Maintain laptop and desktop inventory.
* Coordinate equipment repairs and warranty service.
* Replace aging hardware as needed.
* Manage monitors, docks, keyboards, scanners, and accessories.
Phone & Communication Systems
* Configure desk phones and extensions.
* Assist with mobile device setup.
* Troubleshoot basic phone and voicemail issues.
* Coordinate with phone system vendors when necessary.
Technology Operations
* Maintain IT asset inventory.
* Document common solutions and procedures.
* Keep technology storage areas organized.
* Assist with software licensing and renewals.
* Recommend process improvements that make technology easier for employees.
Team Collaboration
* Escalate complex issues to the IT Coordinator when needed.
* Assist with larger technology rollouts and special projects.
* Travel occasionally between dealership locations to provide support.
What We're Looking For
We're more interested in attitude than an impressive résumé.
You'll probably be a great fit if you:
* Enjoy helping people.
* Stay calm under pressure.
* Communicate clearly and professionally.
* Take ownership of problems until they're resolved.
* Like learning new technology.
* Are organized and dependable.
* Can explain technical issues in plain English.
Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices, or help desk software is helpful, but we're willing to train someone with the right mindset.
Why Kayser?
Kayser Automotive Group has been serving Wisconsin communities since 1925. Today, our team of nearly 500 employees works together across multiple locations with one shared goal: creating exceptional experiences for our customers and one another.
Technology plays an important role in that mission.
You'll work directly with experienced IT leadership while gaining exposure to enterprise technology, Microsoft 365 administration, device management, and the day-to-day operations of a growing organization.
If you're looking for a place where you can build your skills, make a meaningful impact, and grow your career, we'd love to meet you.
