Responsibilities

Asset Protection

  • Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
  • Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
  • Assist the undercover asset protection team
  • Professionally greet customers
  • Provide 5 star customer service
  • Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
  • Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
  • Taking appropriate action to prevent theft
  • Assisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisor and/or ASL Team/ Store Leader
  • Maintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controls

Safety

  • Help mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customers
  • Assist in customer/ employee incidents and emergencies
  • Assist in emergency store procedures
  • Welcome all customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff within the stores
  • Issue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and assist in obtaining wheelchairs and shopping carts
  • Communicate and properly tag property being brought into the stores including personal property, equipment for service, and firearms
  • Watch facilities and parking areas on foot. Direct traffic during special events or heavy customer traffic, while enforcing parking regulations
  • Make regularly scheduled floor and exterior walks to ensure the safety and security of the customers and facility
  • Complete monthly reports on safe or non-safe practices found on the sales floor or backstocks

First Responder

  • Retrieve shopping carts from parking areas
  • React as necessary and assist in handling any situations – medical emergencies and inclement weather, etc

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED College graduate preferred
  • Proven track record of strong communication and organization skills
  • Preference for candidates with prior Loss prevention (2-3 years)
  • Currently certified or willing to become certified in CPR and OC (Oleoresin Capsicum aka pepper spray) foam deployment

Schedule

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5p.m.- 9:00p.m., Friday, 9:30a.m.-9:00p.m., Saturday, and 10:30a.m.-6:00p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of two weekends a month.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
