Position Overview
Valitana is seeking a Product Manager to serve as the connective tissue between our institutional clients and development teams on Analytics our Structured Finance Workflow product. In this role you will be translating complex ABS market requirements into well-defined product specifications, driving feature delivery, and ensuring our platform continues to set the standard for innovation as we expand the platform to support Asset Based Securities.
Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product strategy for Valitana's ABS analytics solutions, establishing clear business requirements aligned to client needs and company growth objectives.
  • Author detailed business and functional specification documents for new features and product enhancements, ensuring our engineering team has clear, actionable requirements before development begins.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog; write & refine user stories; and serve as the primary point of contact for the technology team and client-facing stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Client Success, and Client Services, Project, and Development teams to gather market intelligence, validate product direction, and ensure strategic initiatives are implemented with a high degree of organizational alignment and capability reuse across the portfolio.

Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product management successfully managing SaaS, data, and analytics products.
  • Working knowledge of the structured finance market, with meaningful exposure to ABS products, deal structures, and the data/analytics tools used by institutional market participants.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, engineering, or information systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard structured finance tools such as Intex or similar data and analytics platforms.
  • Direct experience with agile development methodologies, development and execution of product plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management and effective communication (written & oral) skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Resourceful with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Prior experience at a structured finance data vendor, software provider, or financial services consulting firm in a B2B environment is a strong plus.
  • Ability to write queries in SQL or similar languages is a plus.

What We Offer
The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $165,000, commensurate with experience. Valitana offers a competitive total compensation package including base salary and an annual performance bonus. Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including an employer-matched retirement plan; medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine coverage; and paid time off.
Employees in this role will work in the office Mondays through Wednesdays with the flexibility to work remotely Thursdays and Fridays.
