Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area to lead our data initiatives and drive innovative solutions using advanced AI technologies. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in AI orchestration and advanced proficiency in Power BI. With a strong history of developing and implementing data-driven strategies, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing business decision-making processes. This combination of technical proficiency and strategic insight ensures measurable value and impactful results, aligning with organizational goals and driving success. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee the data science and AI team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving a culture of excellence in data analytics and AI solutions. - Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for AI initiatives, focusing on orchestration and optimization of AI- powered tools and processes across the organization. - Design and implement advanced analytics models, leveraging machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex business problems and uncover actionable insights. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities, providing recommendations based on data insights and predictive analytics. - Utilize Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and visualizations that communicate key performance indicators and drive strategic decision-making. - Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth. - Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and AI, integrating new technologies and methodologies into current practices. - Ensure data integrity and quality throughout all data science projects, enforcing best practices in data management and governance. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. - At least 7-10 years of experience in data science, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. - Proven expertise in AI orchestration methodologies and tools, with a solid understanding of model deployment and monitoring. - Strong experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting, including knowledge of DAX and Power Query. - Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and a passion for turning data into insights. - Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Experience in agile methodologies and project management is a plus.
