onsemi is seeking a dynamic and organized Director of Power MOSFET Technology Development to lead the development and qualification of cutting-edge silicon Power MOSFET technologies for Artificial Intelligence factories and automotive power conversion applications. This leadership role is critical to driving innovation and commercialization of next-generation power semiconductor devices and smart power solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of power electronics, device physics, TCAD simulations, device layout and fabrication processes, combined with leadership and communication skills to guide teams and collaborate with cross-functional department
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of device, process integration and industrialization engineers.
  • Drive the development and qualification of next-generation Power MOSFET technologies and initial product implementations.
  • Define and execute technology and product roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Operations, Business Units, Program Management, Product Line Management, and Quality & Reliability.
  • Lead cross-functional decision-making processes and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Proactively manage risks and leverage best practices and lessons learned to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify and address potential reliability and manufacturability concerns early in the development cycle.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and forecasts effectively to internal teams and executive leadership.
  • Represent the organization in technical and strategic discussions with internal and external partners.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in medium and low voltage power semiconductor device development and processing.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and complex technology development programs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills-verbal, written, and interpersonal-with the ability to influence and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with systematic risk management and problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA, DOE, 8D, and RCCA.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage conflict constructively.
  • Willingness to travel and work across time zones to support global teams.
