Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Amazon owns the Amazon business end-to-end, serving as the general manager of one of Momentous' most strategic growth channels. This role defines the long-term strategy, establishes commercial priorities, leads execution across internal team members and agency partners, and drives sustainable revenue and profitability growth.
Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners across Marketing, Product, Creative, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Experience, this role ensures Amazon is operated as a high-performing, data-driven business that supports both short-term commercial objectives and long-term brand equity.
This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, balancing executive planning, commercial decision-making, and hands-on problem solving to continually improve customer experience, business performance, and operational execution.
Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Growth
  • Own the long-term growth strategy for the Amazon business across the full product portfolio.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute the highest-impact growth opportunities while balancing revenue, profitability, and brand health.
  • Develop annual operating plans, quarterly business priorities, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate opportunities for new product launches, assortment expansion, marketplace growth, and additional revenue streams.
Commercial Ownership
  • Own the Amazon P&L and all key commercial performance metrics.
  • Develop annual revenue, profitability, investment, and promotional plans.
  • Lead forecasting for sales, inventory, demand planning, and promotional performance.
  • Monitor business performance against targets and implement course corrections as needed.
  • Lead business reviews and communicate performance, opportunities, and risks to executive leadership.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Amazon team while fostering a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Establish clear priorities, operating rhythms, and performance expectations.
  • Manage external agency relationships and strategic partners to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Build scalable processes that enable efficient execution and continuous improvement.
Marketing & Retail Excellence
  • Oversee Amazon merchandising, content, SEO, advertising, promotions, pricing, and retail readiness.
  • Ensure marketing investments generate measurable commercial returns.
  • Continuously improve traffic quality, conversion, customer acquisition, repeat purchase, and overall customer experience.
  • Partner with Brand and Creative teams to deliver best-in-class merchandising and content experiences.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Product, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership to align priorities and remove barriers to growth.
  • Serve as the central business owner for Amazon, ensuring cross-functional initiatives support commercial objectives.
  • Drive alignment across teams to improve execution, forecasting accuracy, and operational performance.
Analytics & Business Performance
  • Develop data-driven recommendations using Amazon reporting, business intelligence, and internal analytics.
  • Build reporting frameworks that provide visibility into business performance, opportunities, and risks.
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations that support executive decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of continuous testing, experimentation, and optimization to improve long-term performance.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience leading Amazon or ecommerce businesses with direct ownership of significant revenue and profitability targets.
  • Proven experience managing high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Deep expertise in Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally across Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product, and Supply Chain.
