Job description

Description:

BELLAMI Hair is the world’s #1 professional extension brand — 100% Remy human hair in 70+ shades across Wefts, Tape-Ins, K-Tips, I-Tips and Halo PRO®. We sell direct to consumers who take their hair seriously, and we sell to the licensed stylists who install it. Through BELLAMI Academy and our Stylist Society program, we support extension artists with technical education, business tools, and community. BELLAMI is part of Beauty Industry Group, a global family of professional hair brands.

This role owns BELLAMI’s affiliate revenue end to end across both sides of the business consumer/DTC and professional and you are the connective tissue between modern creator affiliate platforms, PR-driven commerce partnerships, and paid advertorial. That means running the platforms, negotiating the publisher deals, and building the reporting that shows leadership which dollar came from where.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will be in the platform dashboards, on the phone with commerce editors, and in the spreadsheet reconciling commission — often in the same afternoon.

Base Salary: $95,000

Annual Bonus: 5% annual bonus based on individual and company performance

Hybrid Schedule: This role requires to be onsite at our Culver City office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays

Key Responsibilities

  • Affiliate program strategy and revenue. Own the affiliate channel plan and revenue target across consumer and pro. Set commission structures, tier logic, and payout rules that are competitive without eroding margin.
  • Platform management. Run BELLAMI’s presence across modern creator affiliate platforms, ShopMy and comparable creator-commerce tools, plus traditional networks and sub-affiliate partners where they still earn their keep. Own onboarding, catalog and link hygiene, commission settings, and payouts and connecting with influencer teams.
  • Creator affiliate recruitment and activation. Grow the active affiliate base and, more importantly, keep it active. Most affiliate programs have a long tail of creators who signed up once; your job is to make the second post happen.
  • PR affiliate partnerships. Work hand in hand with PR to make sure editorial coverage is commissionable. Build direct relationships with commerce desks and publisher affiliate teams so BELLAMI shows up in the roundups that actually convert, with the right links attached.
  • Advertorial negotiation and execution. Source, negotiate, and manage paid editorial placements. Push for hybrid structures flat fee plus commission that put publishers on the hook for performance. Partner with Creative on assets and with Finance on terms.
  • Attribution and reporting. Own the affiliate reporting layer: revenue by pillar, by partner, and by placement, with clean UTM and code discipline behind it. Deliver a monthly read that leadership can act on and an honest view of what is incremental versus what would have converted anyway.
  • Custom code strategy. Build and manage the commissionable discount code program that closes the attribution gap left by cookies, device switching, and in-app browsers.
  • Cross-functional integration. Keep affiliate stitched into the launch calendar, the PR calendar, and the pro program. Coordinate closely with the Pro Influencer Manager so a partner is never double-paid or double-managed.
  • Compliance and brand safety. Enforce disclosure requirements, monitor for coupon-site leakage and trademark bidding, and protect the brand from partners who devalue it.
  • Forecasting and budget. Forecast affiliate revenue and commission spend, reconcile monthly against Finance, and flag variance before it becomes a surprise.

Who You Are:

  • Fluent in the modern affiliate stack. You know how creator-commerce platforms differ from legacy networks, where each one breaks, and why a discount code sometimes beats a tracking link outright.
  • Comfortable negotiating with publishers. Rate cards are a starting point, not a price. You have pushed a flat fee into a performance structure and made the publisher feel good about it.
  • Rigorous about attribution. You are suspicious of numbers that look too good. You can explain what your reporting does and does not prove.
  • Relationship-driven. Editors, creators, and stylists all take your call because you have been straight with them.
  • A closer of loops. Programs that leak — unclaimed links, inactive affiliates, unreconciled commission, gifted product with no follow-up — bother you enough to fix them.
  • Bilingual across audiences. You can speak to a DTC customer’s buying journey and a licensed stylist’s business model without flattening either one.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years in affiliate marketing, partnerships, or performance marketing, with direct ownership of an affiliate revenue line.
  • Hands-on experience with modern creator affiliate platforms — ShopMy, LTK, or comparable — and with traditional affiliate networks.
  • Experience at a modern beauty brand (hair, color, tools, skin, or cosmetics), or agency-side with substantial beauty client work.
  • Demonstrated experience building or managing PR-driven commerce partnerships with editorial publishers.
  • Track record negotiating paid advertorial or sponsored commerce placements, including performance-based terms.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable in spreadsheets and analytics dashboards, and able to build your own reporting rather than wait for it.
  • Working knowledge of e-commerce mechanics: UTM structure, discount code logic, conversion tracking, and the limits of last-click.
  • Excellent written communication for partner outreach, negotiation, and internal reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to the professional beauty community — stylists, salons, education programs, or trade shows.
  • Experience standing up an affiliate program from scratch or migrating between platforms.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and its affiliate/discount ecosystem.
  • Experience converting PR gifting or product seeding into tracked, revenue-generating relationships.
  • Active cosmetology license or hands-on experience with extensions.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus given our pro community.

Benefits And Perks

  • Base pay of $95,000+ with additional 5% annual bonus
  • 401(k) with company match - $ for $ up to 4% - immediately vested
  • Vacation/Holiday Leave
  • Great Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance
  • Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement
  • And so much more!
