Celularity leverages the placenta’s unique biology, immunologic properties and scalable availability to develop therapeutic solutions targeting fundamental mechanisms of aging and age-related disease.

  • Ensure inventory is properly valued, inventory transactions are properly recorded and adequate inventory controls are in place
  • Manage the accounting for finished goods, raw materials/components, packaging, import/inbound/ outbound freight
  • Track and report inventory cost variances (PPV/OH/ etc.) and calculate, record and report adequate inventory variance capitalization adjustments
  • Responsible for developing standard costs and determining and accounting for revaluation of inventory
  • Perform in-depth analysis of direct manufacturing and overhead cost
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of various inventory-related balance sheet accounts
  • Responsible for implementing a cycle count process and recording and reconciling the results and the preparation of reconciliations of inventories held
  • Manage the development of inventory reserves for any slow moving and obsolete products
  • Responsible for the monthly close activities related to inventory transactions and the preparation and review of journal entries related to inventory, COGS and R&D
  • Prepare financial statement disclosures related to inventory and COGS
  • Liaise with the FP&A team to ensure budgeting is accurate and based on best information available
  • Coordinate with operations teams on the annual physical inventory to ensure successful external audit
  • Perform ad-hoc inventory reporting and analysis
  • This role is an individual contributor reporting into the Sr. Director, Accounting role
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred;
  • 8+ years of direct accounting experience within a manufacturing/distribution setting required; biotech or related industry experience a strong plus;
  • Must have experience with month-end close and general ledgers required;
  • Must have strong experience with establishing and maintaining standard costing system, inventory cost absorption and inventory revaluation procedures required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP required;
  • Knowledge of Great Plains or similar ERP system required;
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong MS Office skills;
  • Demonstrated success in delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment;
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams while remaining effective under pressure;
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
