Job description

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of developing and improving manufacturing processes for both existing and new products. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll have the chance to showcase your ingenuity by applying engineering principles to overcome a variety of design, process, and production issues. You'll play a key role in defining the technical direction of projects, often serving as a leader and mentor to other team members. Your responsibilities will span the entire manufacturing development cycle, from DFM to final production, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient and effective. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to lead a team of talented engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support along the way.

What You'll Do
  • Design fixtures and tooling required for various production processes. Provide training and documentation.
  • Leverage engineering practices to gain a deep understanding of processes and its resources to enhance production. Drive most resolutions without assistance.
  • Own new capital expenditure projects ($100K-$300K) and establish scope, justification and specification from concept to procurement. Utilize expertise of others to solve problems.
  • Develop manufacturing capabilities for production to support new products to meet market demand. Lead this effort for mid-sized projects and drive processes forward on a timeline, resolving challenges with support.
  • Lead cost reduction efforts for processes by identifying waste, establishing best practices, and implementing better process methods.
  • Analyze costs and return on investment for processes or changes to existing systems, typically with oversight and review of conclusions.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Expert in multiple technical disciplines, some of which might include: Mechanical Systems, Lean, High-volume Manufacturing, Automation and Controls, Tooling/Fixture, Industrial, Machining/Fabrication, Casting, Industry 4.0
  • Ability to manage and lead 2-4 direct reports
  • Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with people at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools

Base Compensation Range: $105,700-$158,700 per year. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Our salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.
