About the Role:
Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate DDA RN/DN to join our team in Salisbury, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through quality nursing care and advocacy. If you're a skilled nurse with a passion for serving vulnerable populations, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for individuals enrolled in DDA (Developmental Disabilities Administration) programs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans and medical protocols
  • Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and DDA regulations
  • Train and supervise direct support professionals on health-related procedures and protocols
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and incident reports
  • Serve as a health advocate for individuals, ensuring their medical needs are met and communicated effectively
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a DDA setting preferred
  • Knowledge of DDA regulations, policies, and person-centered care principles
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to train and mentor direct care staff on nursing and health protocols
  • CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
