Job description

Develop marketing strategies that support business objectives. Develop and implement programs and policies that support organization strategies and sales activities and maximize brand recognition, exposure, and managing brand expansion and integrity. Manage marketing programs and staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Common job activities are listed below; actual position responsibilities may vary. Refer to your manager or human resources for specific duties and performance expectations.
1. The following areas of responsibility constitute the essential functions of this position: (90-95%)
  • Department Management: Establish and maintain a professional, trained and motivated staff through effective team building, performance and career-development programs.
  • Serve as the marketing representative for occasional public speaking engagements, including sales meetings, in-office workshops, and Advantage training sessions, approximately 8-12 times annually.
  • Partner with the Creative Director and Project Manager on ongoing projects, ensuring consistent communication, problem solving, and strategic alignment. Projects may occasionally require reevaluation, refinement, or complete re-envisioning to strengthen outcomes.
  • Vendor Management: Assess, establish and maintain outside agency and vendor relationships to effectively support corporate initiatives.
  • Product and Program Management: Identify, assess, develop, promote, and maintain profitable marketing products and services and marketing programs that support the organization's business and sales goals and/or create new revenue opportunities.
  • Financial Management: Develop and maintain a balanced budget for all corporate advertising, marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Website Management: May develop and maintain content on company web page; develop new features as needed.

2. May be responsible to develop corporate communication strategies to support the long and short-term business objectives of the organization and to direct the development and implementation of internal/external communications that support these strategies. (0-10%)
3. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0 - 5%)

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced management and marketing training.

Experience:
  • Eight years of related experience in a marketing/advertising environment, including three years supervisory / management responsibilities.
  • Position may require real estate sales experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong business computer skills.
  • Financial skills to manage the operational budget.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Possess a high level of creativity, imagination and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
  • May require basic knowledge of HTML and Web Graphics.
  • May require excellent skills in design software, including Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Image Ready.

  • Willingness to travel when necessary.
