Position Description

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing content creation, communications, and day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives across Shepherd Financial. This includes email campaigns, social media, branded materials, and event support, all delivered consistently and in alignment with Shepherdโ€™s brand and messaging.



Core Responsibilities

Content, Social Media, & Communications

  • Draft and manage regular external-facing communications, including newsletters, webinar invitations, and other firm-wide messaging
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, plus list management and segmentation, through Constant Contact and Redtail
  • Develop a structured content and communications calendar
  • Draft, design, and schedule compliance-approved social media content
  • Manage Shepherd Financialโ€™s social media presence, including engaging with others and amplifying team activity
  • Repurpose and adapt existing content across channels (email, social, web) to maximize reach and consistency
  • Monitor and respond to messages received through the Shepherd Financial team inbox


Design & Brand Execution

  • Create and update branded materials using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Maintain and update website content
  • Maintain and update intranet content as needed
  • Collaborate with the Director โ€“ Marketing & Communications as a creative partner, drafting and designing materials for review and ensuring brand consistency across all deliverables


Operations & Administrative Support

  • Support logistics for internal and external events, as needed
  • Manage inventory and ordering for printed materials, business cards, signage, swag, etc.
  • Support internal engagement efforts, ensuring initiatives are organized and progressing
  • Format, brand, and finalize RFP responses prior to submission
  • Provide support for award submissions, including drafting or reviewing content
  • Partner with the Office Administrator to ensure client gifts go out accurately and on time
  • Complete marketing-related tasks for new hires and offboarding employees
  • Support special campaign logistics and workflows (e.g. 401(k) day, 403(b) day, etc.)



Position Expectations

  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience within financial services or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, including email marketing, social media, and content creation
  • Proficiency with Canva required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus
  • Experience with marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Redtail, and/or WordPress preferred
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clearly and on brand across different audiences
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Adhere to Shepherd Financialโ€™s Work From Home policy by working in the office four days per week and remotely one day per week, unless otherwise approved
  • Compliance with Shepherd Financialโ€™s internal policies
  • Begin each business day no later than 8:30 AM
