Job description

We have a Housekeeping position available in Manoa, Oahu. The role requires good communication and customer service skills. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, though not mandatory, as training will be provided. Join us in creating a clean and welcoming environment for everyone!

-Position: Housekeeping

-Schedule: Thursday to Monday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

-Hourly pay: $18.00

-Key Responsibilities:

Stand and walk for extended periods

Communicate effectively and comprehend English

Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the facility, including dormitories, ground floor, lobby front desk, vending area, corridors, lounges, kitchen/dining, area, laundry room, utility rooms, elevators, restrooms, offices, stairwells, ramps, benches, sidewalks, bicycle shed, landing areas, janitorial closets, driveway/parking lot

Basics grounds cleaning (Planters, landscape areas around the building perimeter)

Sweep, dust, mop, and vacuum for indoor cleaning, as well as use a handheld leaf blower for outdoor areas.

Clean restrooms and restock supplies

Disinfect frequently touched surfaces

Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas

Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases

Push trash bins as necessary

Perform other tasks as directed by the HBM supervisor 

-Skills/Qualifications:

Must pass HBM prescreen check

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, but training is available

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

Strong public relations and communication skills

Applicants must be able to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, and frequently lift, push, press, pull, or carry a minimum of 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds).

Must be capable of reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking up and down stairs, using elevators, climbing ladders, and standing throughout their shifts.
