About the Safety & Security Department

The Safety & Security Department ensures that ReDiscover provides a safe, welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and guests by maintaining full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Our team plays a key role in developing and implementing safety plans across all ReDiscover locations and special events—and often serves as the first friendly face to greet everyone who walks through our doors.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and monitor all persons entering and leaving ReDiscover facilities.
  • Monitor building camera systems as needed.
  • Monitor external walkways, parking lots, lobbies, entryways, internal hallways, restrooms, and other areas as needed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of safety plans for various locations and special events.
  • Respond to all 911 calls, notify appropriate ReDiscover personnel of emergency situations, and communicate with emergency response agencies as appropriate.
  • Maintain reliable attendance by working scheduled shifts and notifying the Safety & Security Team Leader as soon as possible of any anticipated or unexpected absence.
  • Support Building Safety operations across multiple ReDiscover locations to ensure continuous, high-quality service.
  • Maintain flexibility to work at different locations and occasional varying shifts based on staffing and operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety & Security Team Leader, in collaboration with the Director of Physical Infrastructure.

Requirements of the Position

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant security experience required.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Experience with digital control systems and a variety of building automation systems preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Schedule Requirements

  • This is a stationary position that will rotate between locations monthly.
  • Day shift, tentatively a 10-hr shift, four days per week.
  • ReDiscover has programs that operate seven (7) days per week, candidates must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
