Job description

OSL Memory Care Coordinator

Provides assistance with the daily operations of the Memory Care Residence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Executive Director with overseeing property management, personnel administration and provisions of Resident services. Adheres to maintaining compliance for all laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Adheres to the policies, operating procedures, the Mission and Core Values of Omega Senior Living. Provides direct supervision of all direct care staff to include hiring, training, coaching, staffing, performance evaluations, advancement, and related supervisory duties including monitoring the effective delivery of service to Residents as well as acting as manager on duty responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residence as requited by the needs of the facility.

Accepts responsibility for completion of assessing Residents on a timely basis; acts as an advocate for Residents, maintaining communication with designation agents as requested and required. Assists in Social History Assessments and outlines life enrichment programs to include meetings with and implantation of programs with families, Care Associates, and volunteers.

Participates with the management team in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, supervision, evaluation and disciplinary process of community associates. Assists management team with Care Associate orientation, training, and implementation of employment policies and procedures including work, safety, and administrative rules.

Responsible for developing and implementation a sales/marketing plan with the Executive Director/Administration and Sales Team to accomplish occupancy goals. Participates in marketing events and professional and community organizations. Assists in ensuring building, resident units, common areas and adjacent grounds are safe, secure, and properly maintained for Residents, staff, and visitors. Assists in enduring all financial and administrative records are properly maintained. Assures that Resident invoices are delivered and collected on a timely and consistent basis.

Qualifications

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant from the state. Requires one year of supervisory experience in AL, IL, or MC. High school diploma or GED required. Maintain education requirements for job classification and attend mandatory in-service training as required and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State. Current CPR and First Aid certification as required by state regulatory agency.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
