Automotive Parts Director
Location: Texarkana, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time
About Us:
Our dealership is a high-volume, customer-focused automotive dealership committed to delivering excellence in every department. We're looking for a skilled and motivated Parts Director to lead our Parts Department, manage inventory operations, and drive continued growth and profitability.
Position Summary:
The Parts Director oversees all aspects of the Parts Department, including inventory management, vendor relations, wholesale and retail sales, and team leadership. This role requires strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to maintain efficient processes that support both the Service Department and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Parts Department.
  • Manage and coach parts team members to achieve sales and productivity goals.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate with the Service and Collision Departments to ensure timely parts availability.
  • Monitor financial performance and control expenses to meet department profit objectives.
  • Develop strategies for wholesale and retail parts growth.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and uphold dealership standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive parts management, including leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze reports, and achieve profit targets.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
