Job description

About Us: Overview:

The Dining Services Director at a Brightview community serves as a champion and coach to our team of dining associates, and an advocate to our residents with a goal of effectively managing the day to day dining services operation, but also by ensuring that our current and future residents are delivered exceptional service, delicious food, and interesting and exciting dining options.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will build, develop and manage all of the community’s dietary associates, and will work to establish a communication plan which includes our team, the residents, the family members and our guests with the goal of assuring that we are delivering excellent care and nutrition to our residents. You will act as a visible and approachable presence during meal service, engaging with residents to ensure that their dining experience exceeds expectation, and you will work with our residents and families to solicit feedback regarding Menu preferences, dining experiences and overall satisfaction during meals. 

You will also assist in the development and maintenance of the dining services budget, develop vendor relationships, assure the kitchen environment and the dining areas are all properly maintained, clean and safe, and you will work with the team to prepare meals. Additional responsibilities include working with other departments to support the marketing and public relations of the community, and serving on special projects and assignments in support of other Brightview communities. This is a critical role within the Brightview community leadership team, and allows for the opportunity to create a dramatic and positive impact on our residents’ ability to live an active, vibrant life!

Salary Range: USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
Compensation Disclosure:

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree preferred; education focused in culinary, hospitality, or food management.
  • A min of 2-4 years of Food Service Management experience in the hospitality field (Country Club, Banquets)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large diverse group of associates ranging from dishwashers to chefs.
  • Current Safe Serve or other relevant certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to plan and manage a budget.
  • Ability to analyze reports.
  • Moderate computer skills in the standard Microsoft suite.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
