Job description

Job Summary:
Adhere to club specifications and standards in operation which includes pot washing, dishwashing, garbage removal, floor care sweeping and mopping, plate ware, small ware utensils stocking, cleaning and maintaining equipment throughout food and beverage outlets:
  • Abbey
  • Galley Fresco
  • Main kitchen
  • 241 Diner
  • Stadium Club
  • Pavilion
  • 2M Dish room
  • Complete the special cleaning projects as assigned.

Essential Functions:
  • Can understand directive from supervisor on business of the day.
  • Setup and organize workstation with designated supplies and equipment, report shortages to supervisor. Replenish as needed throughout the shift.
  • Work with a purpose to meet production standards in your work area.
  • Adhere to side work such as monitor floors, garbage and hand soap and hand towel in your area.
  • Check working condition of the work area in accordance with specifications, rectify any deficiencies.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and condition of all equipment not meeting standards.
  • Sort, stack and store cleaned wares in designated area.
  • Handle all ware with care to prevent breakage.
  • Change water in sinks and refill as specified (every 2 hours) to ensure all wares are cleaned properly.
  • Monitor sanitation ratio of chemicals to maximize consumption of water and chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of working condition in work area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area throughout shift.
  • Breakdown and clean dishwashing machine and work areas following specifications. In accordance with department standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies/storage closets, remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters, clean floor, remove items, which do not belong and place in correct areas.
  • Report any damages, maintenance problems or safety hazard to supervisor.
  • Organize and restock work area for next shift as specified in department standards.

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other employees or guests.
Essential Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Previous experience as club/restaurant dishwasher or in a janitorial / cleaning position
  • Familiarity with proper sanitation regulation
  • Certification in Sanitation
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling

  • Ability to perform duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy and follow-through
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to adapt to meet priority changes of workflow or requirement
