POSITION SUMMARY:
Minimize the risk of job-related accidents; monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities; develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSHA) awareness. Safety Professional should be well-versed in all OSHA dictations; focused on prevention; need to be diligent and analytical; possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to write documents using computer software (JJ Keller, Word and Excel). Must be able to document incidents/injuries/activities, generate reports, spreadsheets and develop recommendations in writing for management.
• Safety Incident Reports and Investigations
• Maintain and audit safety programs (lockout/tag out, use of personal protective equipment, etc.).
• Provide active safety support to operational teams. Ability to assist leads to manage safety issues and help individuals understand safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and implement proper corrections in cooperation with management and teams.
• Ability to train coach and mentor team members.
• Manage Company Safety Programs and supervise other safety professionals as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform each essential duty daily.
• Experience in implementing training programs
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent communication skills

• Must have a valid driver's license
