Job Summary/Description:  

If you are a highly skilled non-linear Video Editor with the passion to tell stories through video and audio, Atlanta News First is looking for you! We need video storytellers who are team players with the ability to multitask and edit in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Produce edited audio/video material for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social media platforms
- Edit content that tells interesting and entertaining stories for our audience
- Produce high-quality, accurate, consistent video content
- Meet strict and tight deadlines
- Handle feeds/intake room for live content, including setting up live shots, conducting mic checks, and troubleshooting minor technical issues
- Receive and distribute live and recorded feeds from and to our various partners
- Take charge and show off your creative ideas in long-format feature pieces
- Be flexible and nimble in breaking news coverage
- Remain calm under pressure

Qualifications/Requirements:

REQUIRED:
- Broadcast Media/ Communication Degree preferred, equivalent experience considered
- 3+ years relevant experience in a fast-paced non-linear editing environment working under a deadline
- Scheduling flexibility required: may include weekends, mornings, and overnight shifts
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must provide a link to recent examples of work

PREFERRED:
- Knowledge of Edius video editing software (preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Medium/ large market television newsroom experience and market experience (preferred)
