Job description

Business Introduction
GSK remains committed to achieving bold commercial ambitions for the future. By 2031, we aim to deliver 40 billion in annual sales, leveraging our existing strong performance momentum to significantly increase our positive impact on the health of billions of patients globally. Our Ahead Together strategy is centred on early intervention to prevent and alter the course of disease, thereby protecting people and supporting healthcare systems.
Our diverse portfolio consists of vaccines, specialty medicines, and general medicines.
Through continuous innovation and a dedicated focus on scientific and technical excellence, we strive to develop and launch new, groundbreaking treatments that address critical health challenges.
Position Summary

The MarTech Business Transformation Snr. Director will own the marketing technology roadmap and business case underpinning the transformation of the end-to-end marketing operating model. Sitting within Commercial Marketing, this role serves as the primary business partner to Digital and Technology teams, translating business needs into a modern, data-driven, AI-enabled marketing organization.
Responsibilities

  • Marketing Technology Strategy: Own the marketing technology roadmap and business case for E2E marketing transformation, partnering with Technology to assess platform gaps and prioritize future investment.

  • Marketing Capability & Platform Leadership: Define the target-state marketing capability model - people, process, and platform - partnering with Technology on architecture and integration decisions and overseeing delivery from a business standpoint.

  • Data System Integration: Partner with Digital & Technology teams to ensure marketing has the connected data foundation it needs and own the performance measurement frameworks and marketing effectiveness KPIs that turn that data into business decisions.

  • Enterprise Marketing Capability Alignment: Lead alignment of marketing technology, data, and process capabilities across Commercial and Medical organizations, ensuring brand- and disease-area priorities are translated into integrated platform requirements, shared roadmaps, and scalable solutions that support a unified customer engagement model rather than function-specific approaches.

  • Vendor & Partner Management: Own strategic relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners, leading platform evaluation, commercial negotiation, and delivery governance from a business-value standpoint.

  • Governance, Compliance & Risk Management- Establish business governance for how marketing technology, data, and processes are prioritized and funded, partnering with Technology, Privacy, and Security teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Direct pharmaceutical industry experience is not required. We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who brings external perspectives, best-in-class MarTech, data, and AI practices, and a proven ability to drive transformation at scale.

  • Proven track record leading large-scale marketing technology, data, AI, and digital transformation initiatives within complex, global, and matrixed organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing technology roadmaps, platform strategies, operating models, and business cases that deliver measurable business value.

  • Strong experience leading cross-functional collaboration across business, digital, data, technology, and operations teams to define and deliver integrated enterprise capabilities, platforms, and scalable transformation outcomes.

  • Deep understanding of marketing technology ecosystems, customer engagement platforms, data and analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, systems integration, and technology governance.

  • Experience leading the selection, implementation, optimization, and adoption of enterprise technology platforms and digital capabilities.

  • Proven experience managing strategic technology vendors, implementation partners, and third-party service providers, including commercial negotiations, governance, and performance management.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive executive decision-making, and lead complex transformation programs in highly matrixed environments.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect technology investments to customer experience, operational efficiency, organizational effectiveness, and business growth.

  • Experience operating within regulated environments and collaborating with Privacy, Security, Compliance, and Risk functions to ensure compliant and responsible technology deployment.
