Job description

WEB DEVELOPER amp; TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS MANAGER
Location: Fresno, California | Status: Full-Time |
POSITION SUMMARY
The Web Developer amp; Technology Systems Manager is responsible for the development, performance, security and ongoing management of the company's websites, web infrastructure and digital platforms, while also serving as the primary internal resource for business technology systems and technical troubleshooting.
Web developmentโ€”including front-end and back-end development and ongoing website maintenanceโ€”is the primary function of this position. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can build, maintain, troubleshoot and improve websites and web-based functionality, rather than simply coordinate with outside web vendors.
The position will also help the company effectively incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and AI prompting into appropriate business, marketing and operational workflows.
In addition, this position will take ownership of the technology systems used by our sales, marketing and administrative teams, including CRM, cloud-based telephone and texting systems, system integrations, user access and other business applications.
This role is particularly important to the Sales and Marketing organization, where reliable technology directly affects lead generation, lead response, customer communications, follow-up and the homebuying experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWeb Development โ€” Front End amp; Back End
  • Serve as the company's primary in-house web developer, with strong proficiency in WordPress development, administration and ongoing maintenance, including themes, plugins, updates, performance optimization, security and troubleshooting.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance company websites, community websites, landing pages and other web-based applications, with primary responsibility for WordPress-based sites.
  • Perform both front-end and back-end web development and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain server-side functionality, databases, APIs and integrations required by company websites and digital applications.
  • Write, modify, test and troubleshoot website code and functionality.
  • Maintain back-end systems to ensure reliability, performance, security and scalability.
  • Manage website hosting environments, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, databases and related web infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot website errors, broken functionality, integration failures and compatibility issues.
  • Monitor and improve website speed, uptime, security, accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Implement and maintain forms, lead-capture tools, tracking technologies and integrations with CRM and marketing platforms.
  • Support technical SEO, analytics, conversion tracking and data collection.
  • Maintain appropriate development, testing, deployment, version-control, backup and recovery procedures.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on new communities, promotions, campaigns, content updates and other digital initiatives.
  • Manage outside web or technology vendors when specialized services are required while maintaining internal ownership and knowledge of company systems.
Artificial Intelligence amp; AI Prompting
  • Support the company's adoption and effective use of generative AI and other emerging AI technologies.
  • Develop, test and refine AI prompts for business applications across departments.
  • Create reusable prompts, prompt libraries, templates and workflows that improve the consistency and quality of AI-generated outputs.
  • Assist Marketing, Sales and other departments in identifying appropriate uses for AI to improve productivity, customer communications, content development, research and internal processes.
  • Evaluate new AI tools and capabilities and make recommendations regarding their potential business value.
  • Help integrate AI tools into existing digital workflows and business systems when appropriate.
  • Train employees on effective AI prompting and responsible use of company-approved AI tools.
  • Establish and document AI best practices, including appropriate handling of confidential, proprietary and customer information.
  • Monitor AI tools and workflows for accuracy, reliability and usefulness and continually refine prompts and processes based on results.
CRM, Communications amp; Business Systems
  • Serve as the technical owner and primary internal resource for key business applications used by Sales and Marketing.
  • Administer and troubleshoot HubSpot and its integrations with other company systems.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Aircall, including calling, texting, voicemail, caller ID, call routing, user configuration, queues, recordings and related functionality.
  • Diagnose integration issues among Aircall, HubSpot, RingCentral and other communications platforms.
  • Ensure calls, texts, voicemails and customer records are being captured and associated with the correct customer, prospect or sales agent.
  • Configure users, permissions, teams, telephone numbers, extensions, routing rules and system access.
  • Identify recurring system problems and resolve root causes rather than relying on temporary workarounds.
  • Work directly with software vendors when escalation is required and remain responsible for following issues through resolution.
  • Evaluate whether existing applications and integrations continue to be the best solutions for the company's needs.
Technical Support amp; Systems Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal technical issues affecting employees.
  • Troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, printers, connectivity, Wi-Fi, software and cloud-based applications.
  • Diagnose whether problems originate with a device, network, application, integration, configuration or outside vendor.
  • Set up and maintain employee accounts, devices, software access and permissions.
  • Manage employee technology onboarding and offboarding.
  • Maintain an inventory of technology equipment, software licenses, subscriptions and administrative credentials.
  • Establish appropriate backup, recovery, security and access-control procedures.
  • Coordinate with outside IT, internet, telecommunications and cybersecurity providers as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of company systems, integrations, configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
Sales Technology amp; User Support
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure technology supports customer communication, lead management and follow-up.
  • Investigate issues involving dropped calls, missed calls, delayed ringing, missing voicemails, incorrect caller identification, duplicate contacts and inaccurate call records.
  • Ensure lead and customer information flows correctly between communication platforms and the CRM.
  • Test systems from an end-user perspective before and after changes are deployed.
  • Train employees on the proper use of Aircall, HubSpot and other technology platforms.
  • Develop straightforward user guides and procedures for commonly used systems.
  • Track recurring technical issues to identify patterns and recommend permanent solutions.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • Demonstrated professional web development experience, including both front-end and back-end development, with strong proficiency in WordPress development and maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including WordPress themes, plugins, site administration and troubleshooting, plus experience with relevant server-side languages, frameworks and databases.
  • Experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting production websites and web-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of website architecture, hosting, databases, domains, DNS, SSL and website security.
  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks and integrations between cloud-based applications.
  • Practical experience using generative AI tools and AI prompting in a professional environment.
  • Ability to design, test and refine prompts to produce consistent, useful results.
  • Experience administering or supporting CRM and SaaS business platforms.
  • Ability to diagnose hardware, software, connectivity, integration and user-access problems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to nontechnical employees.
  • Ability to independently research problems and work with software vendors through resolution.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with HubSpot.
  • Experience with Aircall, RingCentral or comparable cloud-based telecommunications platforms.
  • Experience integrating CRM, telephone/texting, website and lead-management systems.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and related digital marketing technologies.
  • Experience implementing or integrating AI-enabled tools, APIs, automation or workflows.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and identity/access management.
  • Experience supporting a sales and marketing organization.
  • Experience in homebuilding, real estate or another lead-driven business is helpful but not required.
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This position requires more than someone who can respond to help-desk tickets. We are looking for a technically curious, hands-on problem-solver who takes ownership of an issue until it is resolved.
The successful candidate should be comfortable moving between front-end and back-end web development, AI prompting, systems integration and technical troubleshooting. On any given day, that might mean developing website functionality, improving an AI workflow, investigating why customer data isn't flowing correctly between systems, diagnosing a communications-platform problem, or working with a software vendor to resolve an issue.
Most importantly, this person understands that technology is an operational and customer-service tool. When a prospective homebuyer visits our website, submits an inquiry, calls or texts us, our systems need to work reliably so our team can respond quickly and professionally.
COMPENSATION
$90,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
The compensation range reflects the breadth of the position, including full-stack web development and maintenance, back-end systems and integrations, AI prompting and implementation, CRM and communications-platform administration, and broader technology troubleshooting and support.
