Job description

COMPANY OVERVIEW
We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best - bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what's next.
At General Mills, we're not just making food; we're crafting experiences. We're a company driven by a passion for innovation, a commitment to our brands, and a deep understanding of the ever-evolving consumer landscape. Our portfolio spans a broad range of categories across both human and pet food. And we're reigniting growth through superior demand generation and building industry-leading capabilities. As a Brand Manager, you'll be a full-spectrum business leader, driving strategy, stewarding brands, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious growth targets. You'll lead brands across physical, digital, and omnichannel environments, ensuring strategies are built for how consumers discover, shop, and buy today. As the hub of the wheel, you will make high-impact decisions, develop modern marketing strategies, and lead teams to deliver exceptional results.
Opportunities Await:

  • Strategic Growth Channels (SGC) Desk: Develop and execute retailer-specific brand strategies and innovations to drive growth in priority channels like eCommerce, club stores, and small formats. You'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of retail.

What You'll Do:
  • Build Brands: Lead purpose-driven brand and channel strategies rooted in deep consumer insights and cultural understanding. Develop and execute integrated marketing plans across media, content, innovation, retail, and eCommerce/omnichannel touchpoints, including digital shelf excellence, discoverability, content strategy, and channel-specific activation.
  • Run the Business: Own P&L performance and deliver growth through strategic choices across pricing, promotion, innovation, margin, and distribution. Lead annual and long-range planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis. Navigate complex cross-functional relationships to deliver cohesive results.
  • Lead Teams: Act as a collaborative leader, guiding cross-functional teams through ambiguity to achieve alignment and execution. Coach and develop Associate Brand Managers and early-career talent, fostering a high-performing and accountable team environment.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Brand Management, Marketing, Consulting, or Strategy.
  • Brand Management experience.
  • Proven experience leading teams including direct team management experience preferred. Cross-functional team leadership experience also considered.
  • Proven experience managing a business in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with experience owning a P&L.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and operate with independence.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies like AI to enhance brand performance.
  • Track record of coaching and developing talent
