• Conduct and document thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and impact on daily life.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, ensuring alignment with their goals and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective interventions.
• Provide ongoing education to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment processes, and self-care strategies to enhance their journey towards recovery.
• Monitor clients' progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to their care plans based on observed improvements or challenges.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to deliver an integrated approach to mental health care.
• Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments.
• Document all client interactions meticulously to ensure compliance with legal standards and best practices in mental health.
• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to foster collective knowledge and improve clinical effectiveness.
• Advocate for clients by promoting the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and supporting their overall mental health rights.

In this role, you will primarily serve adults experiencing mood disorders, offering your expertise to clients from various backgrounds. Your commitment will make a significant impact on their ability to manage symptoms, improve their overall quality of life, and navigate daily challenges associated with mental health conditions.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Strong understanding and practical application of psychopharmacology principles relevant to mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
• A track record of providing empathetic and effective counseling services to diverse populations.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders.
• Demonstrated proficiency in CBT and DBT, with evidence of successful outcomes in patient treatment.
• Prior experience in a telehealth setting is a plus, particularly in delivering remote therapy effectively.
