Location: Pewaukee, WI
Pay: $60,000–$140,000 DOE
Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to support commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through completion. This role is a great opportunity for someone with experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, or a related field who is looking to grow their project management responsibilities.
Depending on experience, this position may support senior Project Managers or take ownership of assigned projects. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable coordinating with customers, field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Responsibilities
* Assist with managing commercial mechanical construction projects from kickoff through completion.
* Maintain project schedules, documentation, logs, and correspondence.
* Assist with equipment submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
* Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
* Track project schedules, costs, materials, and other project requirements.
* Communicate project updates and outstanding items to customers and internal teams.
* Help identify and resolve project issues and escalate concerns when needed.
* Develop an understanding of project scope, contracts, specifications, budgets, schedules, and installation requirements.
* Support customer communication and overall project coordination.
* Collaborate with estimating, operations, field leadership, and other departments.
* Take on additional project management responsibilities as knowledge and experience develop.
* Work in both office and construction site environments.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Valid Driver’s License.
* Experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, or a related mechanical trade.
* Project management, project coordination, construction, or related experience.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with field teams, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Experience with commercial construction projects.
* Field experience with a desire to transition into a project management role.
* Experience with scheduling, estimating, or construction/project management software.

* Experience reading mechanical plans, drawings, or specifications.
