SUMMARY
The Digital Finisher reviews the daily schedule and completes finishing work to meet client expectations, escalating any issue that could put a job or program off schedule to the bindery manager or supervisor on duty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review the daily schedule and coordinate with the digital pressroom on expected material arrival.
  • Understand digital program work as it relates to both cadence and finishing.
  • Read and understand the job ticket and work instructions, and review proofs when applicable.
  • Capture all job-related costs in the data collection system.
  • Perform digital bindery operations-cutting, creasing, folding, stitching, collating, and shrink-wrapping-as required by the job or program.
  • Tag material for internal Hatteras movements using material movement placards.
  • Communicate job and program status to the bindery manager throughout the shift.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per the equipment user manuals.
  • Maintain an organized work area during and at the end of each shift.

Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 years' experience on digital bindery equipment (cutter, creaser, stitcher).
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish or English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
