Job Description
U.S. Bank's Digital Assets and Emerging Money Movement team is seeking an effective Senior Program/Project Manager with demonstrated program leadership and project management experience to contribute to the success of our enterprise money movement initiatives. This role sits within a new and evolving team focused on enterprise-level money movement strategy.
This individual will lead and direct large, complex programs in support of the bank's overall money movement strategy. The role provides direction to project staff across multiple workstreams and stages within assigned programs, establishes program governance, and drives execution to ensure initiatives are implemented, adopted, and operating effectively. The Senior Program/Project Manager translates corporate objectives into clear program objectives, operating practices, and measurable outcomes.
The Emerging Money Movement team operates with an enterprise-first mandate and is not aligned to a single business line. While individual business lines retain ownership of their own product roadmaps and growth strategies, this team focuses on cross-line-of-business coordination, optimization, and reuse of money movement capabilities to reduce duplication and drive enterprise-wide efficiency.
The team is evolving from a historical focus on external advocacy and industry engagement toward a model centered on internal enterprise program leadership and strategic coordination. This role operates within a heavy partnership model, working closely with product leaders across business lines, platform, operations, and technology teams, as well as legal, risk, compliance, and advocacy partners. The role also interfaces externally with payment networks and industry partners, including Visa, Mastercard, and other payment system operators.
Due to the enterprise scope of this work, there will be intentional organizational friction, requiring strong alignment, influence, and leadership across teams without direct authority. The successful candidate will balance strategic leadership with disciplined execution, shaping direction, priorities, and investment decisions while driving delivery of emerging and traditional money movement capabilities at scale.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 10 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Significant experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs within a financial services or payments environment
  • Deep understanding of money movement, payments, or transaction-based platforms, including experience with traditional and emerging payment rails
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in enterprise-level, matrixed organizations with influence across business lines and functions
  • Experience translating enterprise strategy into executable programs, governance models, and measurable outcomes
  • Strong partnership experience with product, technology, operations, risk, legal, and compliance teams in regulated environments
  • Experience engaging with external partners and vendors, including payment networks, processors, or financial technology providers
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and intentional organizational friction while driving alignment and decision-making without direct authority
  • Executive-level communication skills, including experience preparing decision materials and recommendations for senior leadership

**The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.**
If there's anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
Benefits:
