We are looking for a Digital Imaging Operator to join our Operations Team at our Renton location. If you’re seeking a meaningful role where you can make a real difference, we welcome you to jump aboard and join our dynamic team!    


The Digital Imaging Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of digital printing machines and peripherals. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Performs standard set-up and operation of black toner and color digital printing machines (may include usb duplicators, check printers, envelope printers and bindery equipment), producing the highest quality work, per K/P and/or client specifications, in an efficient and well-organized manner.
  • Outputs high level of quality printed goods and acceptable level of speed and efficiency.
  • May operate more than one production machine simultaneously.
  • Manages incoming and archived electronic print files and outputs to correct equipment and controls
  • Performs set-up and electronic file adjustments for correct production output.
  • Completes preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines, updates maintenance records.
  • Produces and selects samples and/or proofs for customer’s review or internal review, as requested. 
  • Recommends measures to improve methods/efficiency of machines, procedures and/or department goals.
  • May train fellow teammates on machines and processes as needed or requested.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Requirements:

Education, Experience and Training (Knowledge):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years related experience and accredited training in graphic arts, digital print machine operations and maintenance. 
  • Understanding of workflows and digital print software applications.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand and follow SOP’s, supervisor instructions and safety, security and quality procedures; clearly communicates detailed instructions. 
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously and uses self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
  • Ability to use sharp vision skills to control color and quality. Must be able to closely match to color proofs as required
  • Reviews all work carefully for completeness and accuracy before forwarding to downstream processes
  • Good interpersonal skills to get along and work effectively with others.
