Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Digital Print Operator reports directly to the Sr. Director of Digital Operations at the Fort Lawn location. This skilled, detail-oriented position is responsible for operating and maintaining wide-format and narrow-format digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products that meet customer and production specifications.

The Digital Print Operator plays a key role in ensuring color accuracy, print consistency, and overall production efficiency while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong technical knowledge of digital printing processes, color management, print file preparation, and substrate handling.


Responsibilities / Duties:

ยท        Operate and maintain narrow and wide-format digital printers ( Reggiani, HP 3600, JP4, etc.)

ยท        Prepare and load digital files for printing according to job specifications.

ยท        Calibrate printers and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

ยท        Conduct quality checks to ensure accurate color matching, alignment, and print resolution.

ยท        Maintain clean and organized workstations and follow all safety protocols.

ยท        Collaborate with design and production teams to meet project deadlines.

ยท        Handle custom print jobs, including specialty substrates like paper, cotton, etc.)

ยท        Maintain accurate production records and inventory levels of inks, media, and supplies.

ยท        Perform routine maintenance


QUALIFICATIONS:

ยท        High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, Color

Technology, or a related field preferred

ยท        Previous experience operating digital printing equipment (Preferred)

ยท        Understanding of heat press procedures (Preferred)

ยท        Familiarity with RIP software and print file setup

ยท        Understanding color management, print resolution, and substrate handling.

ยท        Ability to work with precision, ensuring high-quality results.

ยท        Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with teams.

ยท        Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods, with the ability to bend, squat, and perform

other physical tasks as needed.
