AWT has the following position open in our Garner, North Carolina location:
The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, Hours are - 4:00 pm - 2:00 am. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
Required Job Duties
1. Operate a printing press.
2. Fill out Production Traveler.
3. Must keep press and work area clean to avoid potential hazardous conditions.
4. Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
5. Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions,
conclusions or approaches to problems.
6. Visually check each roll for correctness and free of defects.
7. Work with other press operators and/or management, when necessary, to achieve desired results.
Requirements
1. Knowledge of how to set up and operate a printing press.
2. Knowledge of how to mount plates, print cylinders, dies and ink in to press.
3. Must be able to read job orders correctly for desired customer results.
4. Must have basic mathematic skills.
5. Dependability - must be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
6. Cooperation is important and requires being pleasant with other employees on the job and displaying a good-natured,
cooperative attitude.
7. Adaptability/Flexibility - Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable
variety in the workplace.
8. 2 years minimum experience in printing.
