Standard Job Description
You will be the Operations Engineer Senior Staff - Level 5 for the Operations Team which is responsible for driving cross-functional improvement initiatives across the organization.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Operations Engineer Senior Staff - Level 5 you will be responsible for creating comprehensive project charters, applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous-improvement methodologies, and leading end-to-end initiatives that elevate safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value-stream mapping, root-cause analysis, and process-mapping workshops to uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to detect trends, variation, capacity constraints, and waste; develop dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and stakeholder communications while validating savings and productivity gains with Finance.
  • Establish baseline performance, set measurable targets, and define key performance indicators for each initiative.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, frontline staff, engineering, quality, supply chain, IT, HR, and other functions to support stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and readiness assessments.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in operations, project management, process improvement, industrial engineering, quality, or a related function.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or process-improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA, root-cause analysis, and value-stream mapping.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, manage risks, coordinate resources, and deliver measurable results.
  • Experience analyzing operational data and translating findings into practical recommendations.

Desired Skills
  • Master's degree in engineering, operations management,or a related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project-management credential.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to influence individuals at different organizational levels without direct authority.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher; Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
  • Change-management certification, such as Prosci, CCMP, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated success delivering significant cost savings, productivity improvements, cycle-time reductions, quality improvements, or capacity gains.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level projects involving multiple departments, locations, or business units.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, process capability, control charts, hypothesis testing, regression, and measurement-system analysis.
  • Experience with analytical and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Minitab, SQL, or equivalent applications.
  • Experience implementing daily management systems, tiered accountability, strategy deployment, or Hoshin Kanri.
  • Experience coaching or training leaders and employees in Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Familiarity with automation, digital transformation, workflow technology, or business-process management systems.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
