We are the leading Global Biotech Company in our niche and are looking for a SAP Digital Transformation Manager. We have been in business for 50+ years, are publicly traded, have 7+K global employees, recognized $6.6 billion in revenues (7% increase over previous year), $153 million in profits (32% increase over previous year), have 750+ product patents, released 6 new products in in the past year and are an active philanthropic institution.

We are executing a ground-up Greenfield implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition on RISE. The SAP Digital Transformation Manager will lead our enterprise digital migration from legacy on-premise SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 8 to a modern S/4HANA Cloud landscape. Reporting directly to the Global VP of Digital Transformation, this role oversees the end-to-end technical strategy, manages a 30-person functional and technical team, drives vendor and portfolio governance, and ensures a strict "Clean Core" architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Enterprise Architecture Direction

  • S/4HANA Greenfield Migration: Lead technical decision-making and execution for our global S/4HANA Greenfield transformation program on RISE Cloud Private Edition.
  • Architecture & Clean Core Governance: Guide the Senior SAP Solutions Architect on end-to-end system architecture, data governance, and integration strategies to enforce a Clean Core environment and eliminate technical debt.
  • Application Portfolio Management: Drive the evaluation, integration, performance, and optimization of internal and third-party enterprise software platforms.
  • ECC Maintenance & Evolution: Oversee ongoing enhancements, security, validation, and system stability across our legacy ECC 6.0 EHP 8 environment during cloud migration phases.

Management & Organizational Leadership

  • Team Leadership: Directly manage, coach, and mentor a 30-person team comprising a Senior SAP Solutions Architect, SAP Leads, Functional Analysts, Developers, and Program Directors.
  • Strategic Alignment & DX Planning: Partner with global executive leadership to define long-range ERP strategy, annual digital transformation roadmaps, and change management initiatives.
  • Portfolio & Resource Operations: Manage project delivery, resource allocations, operating budgets, and internal processes using Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Governance & Vendor Management: Establish IT operational policies, direct third-party implementation partners, lead contract negotiations, and control portfolio financials.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships with global business units to address enterprise requirements, drive technology adoption, and communicate technical ROI to C-suite stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Total SAP Experience: Minimum 10+ years of total SAP experience with at least 6+ years in dedicated SAP management/leadership roles.
  • S/4HANA Cloud Track Record: Must have led at least 1 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation on a cloud platform (Private or Public Edition).
  • Architecture & C-Suite Messaging: Demonstrated technical competence in designing complex S/4HANA architectures and translating technical strategies into business-focused ROI narratives for executive stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Proven leadership capabilities directing distributed functional and technical teams through major ERP digital transformation cycles.
  • Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.\
