Job description

Support Center - IrvingAs the Senior Digital Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and profitability growth across our eCommerce assortment. Your responsibilities will span planning, analytics, promotion, pricing strategy, merchandising, and execution. Your expertise will be critical in analyzing site metrics, executing promotions, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our online merchandising efforts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the customer experience and maximize revenue opportunities.

Planning and Analytics

  • Drive sales and profitability growth across the 1P & dropship eCommerce assortment
  • Analyze site metrics to identify opportunities to improve merchandising and the customer experience within assigned division of merchandise
  • Execute and present CM-facing reports and insights on a regular cadence determined by eCommerce Merchandising Manager in partnership with CM leaders.
  • Generate and review weekly sales reports for assigned categories
  • Review category and key item performance within assigned area of responsibility and identify customer behavior and sales levels; take action based on findings to grow sales and margins

Promotion and Pricing Strategy

  • Execute 1P & dropship sales events and offers online; attend marketing meetings, stay abreast of evolving strategies, proof and validate offers and pricing
  • Implement eCommerce-specific pricing strategies for 1P items and track results
  • Execute eCommerce-specific promotions and ensure accurate messaging across channels
  • Use data and analytics to measure the success of 1P promotions and initiatives and recommend adjustment to strategy for continuous improvement
  • Suggest promotional opportunities and solicit cost concessions from dropship vendors
  • Execute regular profitability and pricing analyses for 1P & dropship items; suggest actions to increase sales and/or improve profitability within assigned departments

Merchandising

  • Develop working relationships with CM team (buyers) responsible for assigned categories. Ensure close partnership, open dialogue, and consistent communication
  • Meet with Category Management teams and ensure all required details are captured for each set including AP tracking, top new item review, etc.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all upcoming in-store sets within assigned categories and ensure their effective translation for the eCommerce customer
  • Recommend strategies for effective selling of products and add-ons, such as PDP upsells, frequently purchased together messages on PDP, and curated merchandising of categories
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability; create methods to build conversion rates, page views per visitor, average order value, and lines per order while maintaining margin goals
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge in shopping behavior, product knowledge and competitive landscape, especially as it relates to differences between online and brick and mortar consumer behaviors
  • Develop and maintain landing pages that support or solve for category-specific needs, including Private Brand and packaging support, QR codes used in signage, product guides, etc.
  • Serve as product expert within the Digital organization for assigned categories of 1P merchandise. Determine specific products to feature within carousels, on CLPs, and for other opportunities across the site
  • Develop and maintain site taxonomy, item attributes, and filters for assigned categories
  • Develop & maintain dropship vendor relationships, including management of dropship vendor setup process for new vendors within assigned categories

Proofing and Execution

  • Verify assets, oversee and/or execute SKU setup, and validate taxonomy for all 1P sets and new dropship items
  • Responsible for accurate and timely product upload, maintenance, and catalog validation for all 1P seasonal and SBA sets including support for the MIK Pro program
  • Proof homepage, landing pages and emails to ensure correct products and offers are featured
  • Verify 1P items go live on the site on time and as planned, proof items in the live site environment
  • Add links to IA document for 1P offers, including creation of customized links as necessary

Additional Responsibilities

  • Senior Digital Merchandisers own at least one high-level process or project requiring cross-functional collaboration and provide consistent status updates to senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in digital merchandising or eCommerce
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms and merchandising tactics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
