Position Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager leads and elevates the marketing efforts of Taco. This role requires a deep understanding of B2B marketing, technical product positioning, and the ability to translate complex solutions into compelling value propositions. As a senior leader on the marketing team, this role helps to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer loyalty for our HVAC product lines. This role also leads the Taco trade show, social media, and public relations strategies to strengthen brand visibility, customer engagement, thought leadership, and industry reputation across all marketing channels.
Measures of success:
  • On-time, on-budget campaign delivery
  • Effective management of trade shows and events to achieve objectives - on-time and on-budget
  • ROI on marketing spend - Profit or revenue generated per dollar spent
  • Growth and engagement across social media platforms
  • Increased media coverage, earned media placements, and PR impressions

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies that support business growth across residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC segments
  • Create compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with contractors, distributors, engineers, and end-users
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, tradeshows, email, and partner channels
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to align marketing initiatives with product launches, market demands, and sales goals
  • Oversee the development of sales tools, product catalogs, brochures, case studies, and technical collateral
  • Manage the company's presence at key industry events and trade shows (e.g., AHR Expo, regional HVAC conferences)
  • Oversee the creation and management of social media content calendars, campaign messaging, and channel performance analytics
  • Lead public relations initiatives including media outreach, press releases, thought leadership opportunities, award submissions, and industry partnerships
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance, lead generation effectiveness, and ROI to drive data-driven decisions
  • Stay current on HVAC industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes (e.g., SEER standards), and customer pain points
  • Manage vendor relationships, including creative agencies, print houses, and digital partners
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to build a high-performing marketing department

People Management:
  • Evaluates team members to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement; collaborate on development actions and ensure resources necessary to complete actions
  • Cascades relevant and appropriate information about the company and department effectively and in a timely manner
  • Coaches and mentors for skill and knowledge development
  • Executes necessary responsibilities of team during absences or alternate engagement

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or a related field required; MBA or technical background is a plus
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, preferably within HVAC, manufacturing, or a related technical industry.
  • Deep understanding of HVAC systems, customer segments (contractors, distributors, engineers), and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans
  • Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce and digital management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • Experience in managing trade show logistics and field marketing initiatives
  • Experience developing and managing B2B social media strategies across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Instagram
  • Experience leading public relations initiatives, media engagement, and corporate communications programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Thorough understanding of branding, marketing, and trade show management
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and to influence stakeholders within and external to the organization
  • Proven experience managing external vendors and production budgets
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing techniques for event management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others by influence
  • Ability to think creatively to achieve objectives
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Travel: up to 20% for domestic and/or international travel (may include weekends)

Work Environment
This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing.
