Lab Technician 1 - Product Development
Location: Tempe, AZ | Full-TimeAbout the Role
AGC is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician I to support our Product Development laboratories with a primary focus on resin formulation and the prepreg hand pull process. This role is designed as a combined RF and Digital technician position and plays a key part in executing wet lab processes, supporting development trials, and maintaining accurate laboratory documentation in a controlled environment.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and mix lab-scale resin formulations following established procedures and SOPs
  • Set up and execute the prepreg hand pull process, including material and equipment preparation
  • Perform in-process quality checks such as viscosity, percent solids, gel time, and flow
  • Support product development trials and prototype sample preparation
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment including mixers, presses, balances, and analytical instruments (as trained)
  • Accurately record data, maintain documentation, and ensure sample traceability
  • Maintain lab readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and SOP requirements
  • All other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with resin formulation, wet lab processing, or composite materials preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
  • Willingness to cross-train and support both RF and Digital lab activities
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and work in a laboratory environment for extended periods
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work with chemicals, resins, and solvents while wearing required PPE
