ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to support manufacturing, marketing, and sales operations through pre-press file preparation, digital printing, and production support. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, with hands-on experience operating and maintaining digital printing presses.

This on-site, hourly position requires strong technical expertise in preparing and producing consumer product labels, packaging, and marketing literature while ensuring color accuracy, print quality, and brand consistency across all materials. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors are essential. Pay Rate: $29.86 Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am to 3pm, Friday 6 am 12pm

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

  • Prepare and interpret job tickets, organize production workflow, and set up digital press equipment
  • Prepare pre-press files for production using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, ensuring accuracy, print readiness, and brand consistency across all materials.
  • Operate digital printing presses while monitoring output for print quality, color accuracy, and consistency throughout production runs.
  • Perform color calibration, color matching, and color management adjustments to meet brand standards and production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical, software, and print quality issues while performing routine press maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and preventative upkeep.
  • Operate finishing and bindery equipment, including cutting, folding, shrinkwrapping, laminating, and binding for completed materials.
  • Print consumer product labels, GHS labels, marketing literature, training materials, and other branded collateral supporting manufacturing and sales operations.
  • Design and print sample labels, in-house signage, internal labels, and marketing literature while maintaining visual consistency with established brand standards.
  • Print, assemble, and bind training books and presentation materials for internal and external events, meetings, and trainings.
  • Manage print queues, maintain production logs, and monitor inventory levels for paper, ink, substrates, and related production supplies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to place orders, manage material procurement, and maintain strong vendor relationships to support production timelines and quality expectations.
  • Utilize BarTender software to generate and print compliant GHS labels and variable data labels as required.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Additional Requirements: 

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Proficiency with digital press technology, RIP software (such as Fiery), and digital print production workflows.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Canva Pro.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards for print quality, color accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Experience performing routine digital press maintenance and troubleshooting minor mechanical or software issues.
  • Understanding of different paper stocks, substrates, finishes, and print material applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • 1-3 years of experience in digital printing, print production, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours, in a production environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and move materials weighing 50-75 lbs., including the use of lifting assistance devices when required.
  • Ability to distinguish color variations and accurately match colors to Pantone and print standards.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, and kneel as required to operate and maintain equipment and manage production materials.
