Summary:
The Digital Care Support Engineer leads the implementation, onboarding, and optimization of telehealth and digital care initiatives across the health system. This role partners with clinical service lines, operational leaders, IT, and external vendors to deliver high-quality, compliant, and scalable virtual care services. The Support Engineer provides functional leadership to cross-functional project teams, including clinicians, IT analysts, vendors, and operational stakeholders, without direct reporting authority. The position serves as a telehealth subject matter expert, supporting provider adoption, training, compliance readiness, and continuous improvement. This team member develops and manages project plans, timelines, deliverables, and readiness activities for inpatient and outpatient telehealth initiatives. The Digital Care Support Engineer oversees telehealth implementations across multiple hospitals, ambulatory sites, and clinical service lines within the health system; as well as standardizes digital care workflows and best practices across the organization to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability. This role focuses on the planning, implementation, onboarding, and go-live execution of telehealth initiatives. Ongoing relationship management and long-term performance optimization are transitioned to the Digital Care Account Manager following stabilization. In addition to implementation responsibilities this role provides hands-on operational support during and immediately following go-live, assisting with day-to-day telehealth issues, troubleshooting, and workflow stabilization to ensure continuity of care and provider confidence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of degree, 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, account management, program management, telehealth, or customer service. Demonstrates a confident, engaging communication style and excels at building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Strong project management skills and follow-through from vision to execution, with measurable results to the bottom line. An individual highly motivated to work cross-functionally to accomplish goals and effect change. Someone skilled at uniting various constituencies to work together harmoniously to achieve project goals.
