We are looking for you to join our team as a Digital Engineer or Principal Digital Engineer based in McClellan, CA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for research, design, and development for digital designs associated with multi-function software defined radios
  • Work with evaluation boards to test proposed designs
  • Support the implementation of digital FPGA hardware architecture and algorithms
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure firmware design meets system level requirements
  • Review designs and analysis

Basic Qualifications for Digital Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a master's degree
  • Must be a US Citizen in order to meet the security clearance requirement
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • FPGA design experience with VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as Vivado and QuestaSim

Basic Qualifications for Principle Digital Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of experience
  • Must be a US Citizen in order to meet the security clearance requirement
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
  • FPGA design experience with VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as Vivado and QuestaSim

Preferred Qualifications for Digital and Principle Digital Engineer:

  • Experience with VHDL
  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx 7 (Zynq, Kintex and Ultrascale) or Versal family of devices
  • Knowledgeable in FPGA physical constraints and achieving timing closure
  • Experience with DSP and MATLAB
  • Experience with board or system level debug using test equipment and internal hardware analyzers
  • Generation of Test Benches and support of formal VHDL Verification
  • Active/Current Secret Clearance or higher level

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 - $187,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
