The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an established and productive Electrical Engineer to join our technical team. As an independent contributor, you will investigate electrical designs, analyze communication signals, and characterize electronic devices while working on moderately complex projects with general supervision. This role provides opportunities to develop your technical expertise, contribute directly to departmental results, and grow your professional capabilities in a challenging technical environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Work independently with general supervision on electrical analysis projects, performing circuit research, schematic creation, and laboratory time and frequency domain testing
  • Execute larger, moderately complex projects and technical assignments within the electrical analysis domain, setting objectives to meet program goals
  • Work with digital communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, and other interfaces to analyze data flow within devices
  • Measure and analyze radio frequency (RF) signals to identify physical layer characteristics including modulation types, frequencies, bandwidths, and power levels
  • Decode RF modulation schemes to extract data and understand signal encoding mechanisms
  • Implement technical solutions and analytical approaches, making adjustments and recommending enhancements to improve effectiveness and solve problems
  • Address somewhat complex technical issues requiring depth of knowledge from multiple technical areas, drawing from prior experience and systematic analysis
  • Create device characterization data and technical summaries for reports and customer deliverables
  • Communicate with contacts within the project area and technical department, providing information that may require explanation or interpretation to reach agreement
  • May work to influence parties within your job function at an operational level regarding technical approaches and procedures
  • Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals and support staff as needed
  • Stay current with electronic technologies and analytical methods in your discipline

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • ABET accredited BSE in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field with 3 to 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in interpreting and understanding electronic schematics
  • Solid understanding of electronic components and their functions, with an emphasis on analyzing electronic circuits
  • Hands-on experience using laboratory benchtop equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators, from academic projects or internships
  • A solid understanding of RF principles and measurement techniques
  • Experience with communication bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART
  • Capable of writing complex technical reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solving problems through prior experience and issue analysis
  • Effective communication skills to explain technical information to various audiences

Desired:
  • MSE in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with IED and/or UXS technologies
  • Basic programming experience in C/C++ or Python for hardware interfacing
  • Exposure to Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and security concepts
  • MATLAB or LabVIEW programming and analysis experience
  • Experience with Vector Network Analyzers and advanced RF test equipment
