Job description

PLUS Communications is a full-service communications firm based in Arlington, Virginia. PLUS Communications leads award-winning campaigns integrating public affairs, corporate communications, digital, advertising and media buying. PLUS means more!

PLUS Communications is seeking a creative and hard-working Managing Director to join our fast-growing digital practice to help top-tier advocacy campaigns and organizations win, every day.

Your day in this position may include:

  • Developing and leading integrated digital strategies for complex public affairs clients, providing senior-level counsel while anticipating opportunities and challenges to deliver impactful, cost-effective campaigns.
  • Serving as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, overseeing account growth, strengthening long-term partnerships, and leading the development of new business opportunities and strategic proposals.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of strategists while providing executive oversight across multiple client accounts to ensure exceptional execution and client service.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop integrated campaign strategies and deliver high-quality creative assets and digital initiatives.
  • Providing executive oversight of digital advertising strategy, campaign performance, reporting, and optimization while ensuring campaigns meet client objectives.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand client engagements, improve internal processes, and strengthen the firm's overall digital capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, public affairs, public relations, and/or political campaign work. Previous public affairs or public relations agency experience is required.
  • Advanced writing skills with the ability to write for senior-level stakeholders and proficiency in editing with a strong understanding of AP Style.
  • Extensive experience using digital and social media platforms to develop and execute issue advocacy and public affairs campaigns.
  • Proven success developing and leading integrated digital strategies, managing client relationships, and driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying AI tools to improve processes while adhering to company expectations for utilization.
  • Experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams while managing multiple complex client engagements.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Benefits

The budgeted salary is $140,000 and there is an opportunity for a year-end bonus. Medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance. We also offer a paid parental leave program, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. In addition, we have a work from home hybrid environment.
