Job description

Job Title: Regional EHS Field Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a Regional EHS Field Specialist to drive our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives across a diverse portfolio of sites, including manufacturing, laboratory, and remote operations. You will act as the regional "boots on the ground" partner, working alongside site leadership to ensure our safety programs are not just compliant, but effective in practice.
This is an influential role that requires the ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, facilitating incident investigations, and ensuring that our corporate EHS management system is implemented consistently across every site you support. If you are a proactive leader who enjoys traveling, solving safety challenges in real-time, and building a culture of accountability, this is the perfect opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Risk Management
• Field Support: Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and prioritize corrective actions. Ensure all locations remain fully compliant with local, state, and federal (OSHA/EPA) regulations.
• Incident Prevention: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for all safety incidents. Develop and implement preventative strategies to eliminate recurring hazards.
• Program Execution: Oversee the implementation of corporate EHS policies. Partner with local site managers to ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are effectively communicated and followed.
Collaboration & Training
• Technical Advocacy: Serve as a technical subject matter expert for site leaders and employees. Provide high-quality EHS training (both in-person and digital) to ensure all personnel have the knowledge to work safely.
• Liaison Duties: Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory agencies, community representatives, and local stakeholders as needed.
• Capital Projects: Participate in the EHS review process for new capital projects, ensuring safety is integrated into the design and installation of new equipment/facilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience supporting EHS programs in a multi-site or industrial environment.
• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of OSHA/EPA requirements and a proven track record of aligning site-based activities with corporate-level EHS frameworks.
• Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to support assigned locations.
• Influence: Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and drive safety accountability across multiple sites without direct supervision.
Preferred Attributes
• Experience with industrial hygiene sampling, annual environmental reporting, or process safety programs.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CRSP, or PE).
• Strong "influencer" personality-you know how to build trust with diverse teams and gain buy-in for safety initiatives from staff and management alike.
