What is digital advertising?

Digital advertising refers to the promotion of products, services, or brands through online channels such as search engines, social media, websites, email, and mobile apps. It involves using digital platforms to reach targeted audiences with various ad formats, including display ads, video ads, and sponsored content. Digital advertising professionals frequently work cross-functionally, partnering with creative teams to develop compelling ad content, coordinating with data analysts to track and optimize campaign performance, and aligning with sales or product teams to ensure marketing efforts support broader business goals. Effective communication and project management skills are essential, as campaigns often require input from multiple departments to ensure messaging is consistent and objectives are met.
