Description
Job Summary
The Wellness Registered Dietitian provides individualized nutrition counseling and wellness coaching to Riverview Health employees, employer-based clinic patients, and community clients. This role manages and supports the Body Knowledge program through program development, client engagement, reporting, and quality improvement while collaborate with the wellness team to design, implement, and elevate health and wellness initiatives. The Wellness Dietitian also delivers educational presentations, participates in internal and community health screening events, and serves as a nutrition resource across Riverview Health to promote health lifestyles and improve overall wellness outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide nutritional services to internal and external clientele (employer-based outpatient clinics, onsite primary care practices, worksites, Body Knowledge, presentations)
  • Actively participate in wellness team and wellness committee meetings
  • Develop and implement nutritional education materials as needed for patients and clients
  • Counsel patients and families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and lifestyle adaptation
  • Assist wellness team with internal and external health screening events
  • Write monthly nutritional articles for assigned newsletters
  • Communicate appropriate diet history and nutritional care data through written record system
  • Screen patients' nutritional status, assess laboratory values, and other pertinent medical data
  • Document patient encounters in the electronic medical records system using the required templates
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Must comply with all applicable policies and procedures, including, but not limited to all developmental and functional policy and procedure, maintaining acceptable attendance records, arriving for duty punctually, and following dress code
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements
  • Minimum: Masters Degree in Food, Nutrition, or Dietetics related field

Experience Requirements
  • Ability to multitask at various stages amongst a variety of activities demonstrating proficient organizational skills. Able to apply project management skills to include effective planning and execution.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate effectively and compassionately with patients and family members. Demonstrates listening skills. Promotes a teamwork environment. Demonstrates effective communication and writing skills.

License/Certification Requirements
  • Registered Dietician License valid to practice in the State of Indiana
