Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Diesel Mechanic Technician is responsible for performing tractor repairs and maintenance work in accordance with both factory and industry standards. Additionally, this role will run diagnostics and work closely with other team members to meet the company's goals.
Up to: $24.82 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform all tasks assigned by supervisor in a safe and timely manner.
  • Keep work area neat and clean.
  • Repair minor engine components.
  • Complete brake jobs.
  • Repair and replace transmissions and differentials.
  • Minor repairs to cab, doors, seat, and instrument panel
  • Diagnose and repair onboard computers.
  • Change tires and check air pressure.
  • Ability to weld.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to test instruments and systems, change settings, and make repairs for exceptional performance.
  • Perform repairs to hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Must be able to safely operate company vehicle with a valid and unrestricted state-issued Driver's License.
  • Abide by all company policies and governmental regulations.
  • Maintenance of all regulatory records necessary for government adherence and company policy purposes.
  • Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to store locations in support of the company mission to "Run the Best Store in Town!"
  • Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma/GED, required.
  • 3+ years of experience in tractor repair and maintenance.
  • Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.
  • Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including attendance, dress code, etc.
