What You’ll Do:

Apprentice Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the truck repair process. Their responsibilities encompass creating detailed repair plans, submitting parts requisitions for required components, and meticulously tagging all warranty parts that undergo replacement. Additionally, technicians are accountable for returning parts with core value and consistently communicating progress updates to their Foreman on a daily basis. Organizing toolboxes and maintaining clean, safe workstations are essential aspects of their duties. The role of an Apprentice Technician involves a proactive approach to learning service department operations and technician responsibilities. Ample training opportunities, including shadowing experienced master techs, are provided to support career development.

Job Duties:

  • Performs oil change
  • Performs diesel particulate filter cleaning
  • Performs brake inspections and works on brakes
  • Performs general maintenance of the service department including sweeping, cleaning and other maintenance tasks as needed

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of a technician training course or equivalent work knowledge required
  • High school diploma or the equivalent preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Positive attitude
  • Motivated

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical 

 

Compensation:

  • $22-$24.50/hour depending on skills and experience.
  • Full Time position
