Malloy Chevrolet of Charlottesville is seeking an elite Chevrolet Master Diesel Technician to lead our service department. This is a high-level position for a career professional who has reached the pinnacle of Chevrolet technical certification. This is a high-level role for a specialist who lives and breathes diesel diagnostics and repair. We service all makes and models in our truck center!

Pay

Top-Tier Flat Rate Compensation.

  • $50-$60 per hour starting compensation
  • Pay is commensurate with Chevrolet certifications and production history.
Master Diesel Technician Work Requirements
  • Credentials: Must have current  Senior Master Diesel credentials.
  • Specialization: Must specialize in Diesel Diagnosis and Repair.
  • Ability to commute to Charlottesville, VA.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Master Diesel Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform expert-level diagnostics and repairs on all Chevrolet vehicle systems (Diesel, Transmission, Electrical, and Chassis).
  • Solve complex drivability and electrical issues that require advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Lead our commercial truck center in technical excellence and diesel performance.
  • Execute complex engine teardowns, fuel system repairs, and after-treatment diagnostics.
  • Maintain "Fixed Right First Time" standards on all heavy-duty and fleet repairs.
  • Utilize the latest Chevrolet diagnostic equipment.
  • Mentor junior technicians and assist with complex diesel diagnostic hurdles.
  • Provide clear, honest documentation for all warranty and customer-pay repairs.
Master Diesel Technician Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a Chevrolet dealership service environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Chevrolet diagnostic software.
  • Proven track record of high productivity and "Fixed Right First Time" performance.
  • Professional work ethic and a desire to lead by example.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
