Job description

Diesel Technician
Location: Woods Cross, UT
Pay: $25.00–$39.00/hr DOE + Quarterly Bonus
Shift: Swing shift position Tuesday- Saturday 3PM-11:30PM
 
Overview:
Join Maverik as a Truck Mechanic. You'll repair, recondition, and maintain company equipment, diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle systems, and ensure safe, reliable fleet performance. Work closely with the Shop Manager, Team Leads, and Drivers to communicate repair needs and updates.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Complete timely & accurate service and inspection reports
    • Charge work appropriately to work orders
    • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble components
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
    • Test, measure, and adjust vehicle systems
    • Stay up to date on tools, technology, and safety practices
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Communicate repair status clearly to leadership and drivers
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
    • Lift/carry up to 100 lbs
    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
    • Repetitive reaching, grasping, squatting, and pushing
    • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
    • Visual abilities: close, distance, color, and depth perception
    • Use appropriate PPE and follow safety standards

Qualifications:
    • 3+ years in heavy equipment or preventative maintenance repair
    • Tanker experience and CDL preferred
    • Tank testing experience a plus – not required
    • Strong safety knowledge and attention to detail
    • Basic computer and reporting skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication in English
