Cumberland International Trucks is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Diesel Technician to join our Nashville service team. In this role, you'll operate your own company-provided service truck, laptop, and phone-diagnosing and repairing medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks directly where customers need you most.
You'll earn $35-$40 per hour, plus performance incentives, while working in a role that rewards organization, technical skill, and self-management.

What You'll Do
As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing customer trucks to maximize uptime.
Your daily responsibilities include:
  • Test driving trucks to diagnose mechanical issues
  • Assessing malfunctions and developing efficient repair plans
  • Inspecting vehicle systems including suspension, steering, and electrical components
  • Repairing or replacing engines, transmissions, brakes, clutches, suspension systems, and other components
  • Running diagnostic tests and interpreting results to determine solutions
  • Performing preventative maintenance services including oil changes, brake checks, alignments, and wheel balancing
  • Maintaining records of repairs and replaced parts
  • Communicating additional service needs to the service consultant
  • Documenting repairs using the Three C's: Customer Complaint, Cause, Correction
  • Ensuring vehicles are returned clean and ready for service
  • Following manufacturer repair procedures, torque specifications, and warranty documentation standards
  • Updating repair advocate and case files throughout the day
  • Communicating repair status to the Service Supervisor before shift completion
  • Completing OEM training and technical requirements within designated timelines
  • Maintaining an organized and professional workspace
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of diesel engine repair experience
  • Mobile diesel diagnostic and repair experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Professional attitude and strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Valid driver's license with ability to obtain a CDL

Preferred but not required:
  • Experience with Cummins, Detroit, or CAT engines
  • ASE certifications or OEM training
