Diesel Technician - Heavy Duty | Up to $43/hr with Bonuses | Greer SC


Company: ACME Precision Diesel

Location: Greer, SC

Type: Full-time, Hourly

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Evenings and weekends are yours.

Pay: Weekly every Friday, direct deposit.


ACME Precision Diesel is hiring an experienced heavy duty diesel technician in Greer, SC. This is a senior-level hourly position with a transparent bonus structure that rewards skill, efficiency, and quality work.


Pay and Bonuses

  • $32 - $38/hr base pay depending on experience and certifications
  • Utilization bonuses stack on top of base every pay period:
    • 85-94% utilization: +$1.50/hr
    • 95-104% utilization: +$3.00/hr
    • 105%+ utilization: +$5.00/hr
  • $0.50/hr permanent raise for each ASE certification earned
  • $1.00/hr bonus when actively mentoring an apprentice
  • $200 bonus for zero-callback months
  • $1,500 referral bonus for techs you bring in who stay 90 days
  • All utilization tracked transparently through Fullbay. You see your own numbers.


Your base is your floor, not your ceiling. A tech at $38 base hitting utilization targets with an ASE cert earns $44/hr. That is real, trackable money, not a vague promise.


What You Will Work On

  • Engine diagnostics including aftertreatment and emissions systems
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
  • Clutch, transmission, and driveline repairs
  • Air and hydraulic brake diagnostics and repairs
  • Preventative maintenance where needed
  • Leading troubleshooting on difficult repeat issues
  • Guiding less experienced techs when needed (compensated separately)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on diesel experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong skills in advanced diagnostics and complex repairs
  • Electrical and aftertreatment experience
  • Valid driver license and current DOT medical card
  • Must supply your own hand tools
  • Clean MVR and solid work history
  • Professional, team-oriented attitude


Preferred (Not Required)

  • ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications (T series)
  • OEM or dealer-level training
  • A/C certification
  • CDL A or B
  • Any certs that demonstrate advanced diagnostic capability
